rpHE yyiLL AND THE yyAY. (6).—CUTTING COSTS. “Cut Costs” has become the sudden order, in the business world—and the process of reduction is world-wide. Since its establishment in 1872 the State-guaranteed Public Trust Office has worked on the principle of giving a maximum of efficiency at a minimum of cost to its numerous clients. Profit is not the prime purpose, though the enterprise is reasonably profitable, by reason of the very large volume of business and the efficiency of its administration by well-trained experts in all departments of the work. The fees and other charges are on the lowest possible scale. Therefore, when the Public Trustee js appointed the executor of an estate the testator lias the comforting assurance that the best possible safeguard has been effested for dependents at very moderate cost.
