LADIES’ TOURNAMENT. RESULTS. By Telegraph -Press Association. Napier, Last Night. The ladies’ hockey tournament was continued to-day, when the section play was completed, with the result that Poverty Ray and Wellington meet in the final for the Izard Cup on Saturday. To-day’s results are: A Section.—Wellington 4 beat Eastern (Southland) nil: Marlborough 3 beat Feilding nil. B Section.—Hawke’s Bay A 3 beat Wairarapa nil : Poverty Ray 5 beat Manawatu 2. Wellington and Eastern (Southland) took the field on equal terms in the A section, and the result of the match left the former in the cup final. At half-time Wellington had a lead of 2to nil. In the second spell Wellington registered two more goals. Miss Williams did all the scoring. An inexperienced Feilding team made quite a good showing against Marlborough, but tired towards the close, when the winners were abbto net three times. Misses Gleeson (2) and Brougham scored. In the Hawke’s Bay A v. Wairarapa match, half-time came when the home team had scored once. Hawke’s Bay added two more goals. Misses Austin (2) and Tankard scored. Poverty Bay’s victory over Manawatu left them the winners of the B section. The score at half-time was two to one in favour of the winners. Misses Hill (2). Hei Bilhani, and Hale scored for the winners, and Miss McKenzie scored twice for the losers.
