TASMAN OR ANZAC?

DUTCH VIEW ON CONTROVERSY. By Telegraph.—Press Assn.—Copyright. Received Aug. 30, 8.5 p.m. Sydney. August 30, Mr. Dirk Menlenbelt, a Dutch journalist, writing in the Herald from Ballarat eulogising Mr. Justice Chapman and Mr. Cramp for their attitude on the Tasman Sea controversy, says: “The robbing of the Tasman of its rightly merited honor, sacred to the memories not only of Holland, but of New Zealand and Australia, would be a deed absolutely beneath the dignity of the world-famous Anzacs.” It grieves him to read that there are men prepared to cover their honor by the shame of robbing the memory of a peaceful navigator.
