MURDER OF PICTURE ACTOR. By Telegraph—Press Assn.—Copyright. New York, August 26. George Cline, movie director, unfolded a real life drama before the police coroner. He stated that he killed John Bergen, a well-known actor. He said he summoned Bergen to his house and accused him of giving wine to Mrs. Cline and then attacking her. He challenged Bergen to a revolver duel in an empty room upstairs. He alleged that Bergen treacherously tried to kill him w’bilst mounting the stairs, hut he shot first, wounding Bergen, who died in a few minutes. He further asserted that Bergen, in the presence of Mrs. Cline’s brother, admitted everything.
