THE MAID OF THE MOUNTAINS
SEASON CONCLUDED. The visit of musical plays to New Plymouth are all too few, and so it was that the two-nights’ season of Mr. Lionel Walsh’s “Maid of the Mountains” Company, which concluded at New Plymouth •ast evening, was sure of a cordial v.ei- ; come. Not for many years has such a I bright and talented company appeared * n I New Plymouth. Every member of the company was an® artist, and each conspired to hold the audience for nearly three hours, sometimes gay, sometimes grave, but always fascinating. Where all played their parts so well and so convincingly it is difficult to individualise, buc special mention must be made of Miss I Florence Lusk, who played the heavy role 1 of Teresa, the maid of the mountains, with . distinct success, whilst her singing was | ' bet one whit behind her acting. 1
