Ranine. Penitent, Linden. Prince Martinn. Martini. and Refrigeration. Amongst *thoso horses entered for the race which started last year are Roval Star. Almoner. Rnuer Sppart. Foo Chow. Penitent. Pluto, and Kilgour. There are eight thrc«r-vear-olds entered In this year’s New Zealand Cun. sixteen four-year-olds. thirteen five-year-olds, and sixteen six-year-olds and aged. During the last, ten years the race has onlv been won once bv a (lndigo, who dead-heated with Warstep). while four-year-olds have won form times, five-year-olds four times. and aged horses twice, while the average winning weight during that period is just under Sst. Special train arrangements have been made bv the North Taranaki Hunt Club to take horses back as far as Hawera bv the train leaving New Plymouth at 6.5 pm. Horses must be at the New Plymouth station not lajter than 5.30 p.m. Acceptances for the meeting close to-night.
