Waihemo, from Pacific Coast, November. NEW YORK CARGO. The U.S. and A. Line's steamer Eastern Sea (5858 tons), arrived at New Plymouth yesterday morning from New York, via New Zealand ports, but had to anchor in the stream' pending the departure of the liner Kaikoura. about Tuesday next. The Eastern Sea has 1896 cases of benzine and kerosene, besides a small ouantity- of general cargo to discharge here, and will sail about Friday next to discharge the balance of her cargo at Sydney. Captain N. A. Swenson is in command, and associated with him are the following officers: — Chief, Mr. J. W. Anderson ; second. Mr. J. M. Hatfield; third, Mr. F. Miller: chief engineer, Mr. P. Nash; first assistant. Mr. B. Larsen; second, Mr. H. Sahlen ; third, Mr. A. Serio; chief steward, Mr. H. Bilton; wireless operator, Mr. L. Schler. KAITUNA TO SAIL. It is expected the Kaituna, at present unloading a Newcastle coal cargo at New Plymouth, will be ready to sail to-day.
THE ONEHUNGA BOAT. Passengers and 120 tons of cargo were brought from Onehunga yesterday morning by the Rarawa, which made the return passage north last night. MAINDY LODGE DIVERTED. Owing to congestion at New Plymouth, the Ma indy with a full cargo of coal from Newcastle, has been diverted to Wellington. WORK ON THE KAIKOURA. Steady jjrogress is being made in the working of the liner Kaikoura, which is expected to sail about Tuesday next. KAHIKA COMING. The Kahika is scheduled to leave Dunedin for New Plymouth, via the usual South Island ports and Wellington, on Monday. She should reach New Plymouth about the following Sunday. CORINNA RESUMING. The Corinna, which has been undergoing overhaul at Dunedin, is to leave that port on September 4 for New Plymouth, via southern ports. She is due here a week later. NEWS OF WAITEMATA. The Waitemata, which left. San Francisco on August 16 with cargo from Pacific Coast ports for New Zealand, is due at Napier on September 10, anti will thence proceed to New Plymouth. The Waitemata has 1765 tons of general cargo to land at this port. OVERSEA MOVEMENTS. London. August 24.—5/iiled: Newcastle, for Lyttelton ; from Capetown. Beltana ; from Colombo, Esperance Bay.
