CONFIDENCE IN THE MINISTER. By Telegraph -Press Association. Timaru, Last Night. At a meeting of the Chalmers Presbyterian congregation to-night the subject !of the recent heresy charges against the Rev. P. Gladstone Hughes was mentioned. The minister made a statement in relation to the whole question, and the congregation placed on record its continued and perfect confidence in the minister and appreciation of his services as an able and scholarly exponent of the Scripture and a faithful preacher of the gospel; also admiration of him as a devoted pastor.
