HERD-TESTING.
THE ELTHAM ASSOCIATION. The following report was presented at Saturday’s meeting of shareholders of the Eltham Co-op. Dairy Company by Mr. A. L. Picard, who has charge of the company’s Herd-Testing Association : Number of herds tested during the Number of herds completing the test, 45. Number of cows tested, 1987. Number of cows to complete test. 1490. Average for cows and heifers, 2811bs. but-ter-fat in 240 days. Preparations are well forward for the coming season, and there, are prospects of a number of new members. Anv supplier doing home separating is advised to send a sample of skiminiilk in periodically to* defect any loss in skimming.
