SYDNEY UNEMPLOYED By Telegraph.—Press Aasn.—Copyright. Sydney, August 21. The number of unemployed in July totalled 4500 in the metropolis, 7500 in the country, a decrease of 500 since June. COMMONWEALTH SHIPPING Sydney, August 21. Mr. Pyne, vindicating Mr. Hughes’ action in the acquiring of the Commonwealth Line, said the Government on the whole was £1,000,000 on the right side of the ledger as the result of owning its own vessels. Mr. Scott Fell, a member of the Assembly, said the Bay vessels, though costing £1,250,000, were not worth £350,000.
