AUSTRIA WAKING INTO ACTION. By Telegraph.—Press Assn.—Copyright. Vienna, August 19. Mr. Lloyd George’s blunt declaration that the Allies would not incur further burdens for the benefit of Austria has acted like a spur. Conditions were recently growing impossible, but Austria has now apparently determined on selfhelp. Following a Cabinet meeting a communique was issued announcing that the “wait and see” policy must be replaced by a policy of action.
