NOTE.—Quality is a pronounced feature throughout all the cattle to be sold this sale. The pedigree herd although small consists of some very good material and its disposal should be of particular interest to Jersey breeders. Mr. Greig selected splendid foundation cows, and has since bred on sound lines, this being clearly indicated by the excellent figures obtained for two of his bulls at the - last October Jersey .'bull sale held in New Plymouth. They realised 135 and 120 guineas respectively. The grade cows are mostly Jerseys, all young, being selected as yearlings out of some of the best herds in North Taranaki. Average test for last three see-, sons 4.23, 4.32, 4.33. The horses arf» good. All the implements are in tiptop order.
