CLAIM TO THRONE.
A PRINCE COMES BACK CAUSE OF MUCH TROUBLE. By Telegraph.—Press Assn.—Copyright. Received August 20, 5.5 p.m. Belgrade, August 19. The Government has decided to etrip Prince George of all the privileges of the Royal House and has prohibited his entering Royal properties. Prince George abdicated in 1909, but returned recently from abroad, causing trouble. He claims to be the direct heir to the throne, as Prince- Alexander, who recently married, has no son. Prince George complains in the newspapers that the allowance tlie Government grant him is insufficient, for his exaitod station
The Government reply is that the income is sufficiently liberal and Prince George’s behaviour is not what might be expected from a Royal Prince. The Government warn him that if he persists in his present course they will be compelled to take action against him. Prince George replied that he would not be intimidated, and he demands to know what provision his father, King Peter, made for him. It is rumored King Peter’s will disappeared after his death.—Aus.-N.Z. Cable Assn.
