WAGES DISPUTE ON STEAMER. B* Telegraph.—Press Association. Wellington, August 18. ' In reference to the Tutanekai dispute, the Minister ol Marine,, Mr. G. J. Anderson, states that a special payment o-f £1 per month extra was formerly granted seamen and boatmen for special duties on shore and landing work. The provision of the Public Expenditure Adjustment Act was applicable to these employees. adjustment committee, however, decided to continue these wages.
