SUDDEN DEATH.

SUPPOSED HEART FAILURE. Advice was received by the New Plymouth police yesterday afternoon of the sudden death at his residence, Kelly Road, Sentry Hill, of an elderly man named Robert Turnbull. Deceased was a farmer, 70 years of age. Yesterday morning he was trimming a pinus insignus hedge at his house. Deceased was using a ladder, and his daughter, hearing a thud, ran out to find him lying at the bottom of the ladder dead. ‘ Dr. Blackley was sent for immediately, but he could only report that life was extinct. Dr. Blackley had treated the deceased about six or eight months ago for valvular disease of the heart and had warned him against any excitement or strenu ous work. An inquest will be held at 3 o clock this afternoon.
