GIFTS TO HOSPITAL. By Telegraph.—Press Association. Ashburton, Last Night. Miss Jane Chalmers, of Ashburton, who recently gave the Hospital Board £3OOO for the purpose of extending the women’s ward accommodation at the county hospital, has now given another £lOOO to build a new operating theatre. Under the will of the late Mr. W. Bruckshaw the Ashburton Hospital Boaixl has had bequeathed it the sum of £5O.
