DAIRY PRODUCE MARKET. Messrs. Nathan and Co. have received the following London cable: “Butter stronger with brighter tone. It is quoted at 195 s to 1965, unsalted 208 s; very little unsalted is available. Cheese is also more active; quotations 84s to 86s, white; 80s to 82s colored. NEWTON KING, LTD., REPORT. At Urenul on August 7 we had a fair yarding of all classes and report a moderately contested sale. Quotations were on a par with recent sales: In lamb 4 and 6-tooth ewes 213 7d to 26s 6d, hoggets 14s Id, store cows 20s to 265, fresh condition cows £2, springing heifers £5 10s to £7, springing cows £5 10s to £9, quality Jersey cows £l3 to £l7. At Stratford on the Sth Inst., both store and dairy pens were fully taxed. W® report an exceedingly bright sale for the former, although prices varied little compared with late, sales. Sheep realised full (market rates. Barnett, Rahotuj on August 8, there was a fair local demand, best cows selling from £ll 10s to £l4 10s. On the following day on account of Mr. -A. .1. Brown. Te Popo, implements and sundries made satisfactory prices, draught marc £34, draught gelding £26, yearling heifers 39s to £3 17s, in-calf heifers £4 10s to £7, sows and litters £6 to £6 ss. On account of Messrs. Hopkins, Kestrup and Hopkins, on July 10, the herd of 45 cows, very few of which were showing the Jersey strain, sold exceptionally well averaging £9, yearling heifers realised £2 2s to £2 10s, and sundries and implements good values. On the same day on account of Mr. W. P. Bishop, Waltui, a heavy list of cattle, implements, and sundries were satisfactorily disposed of.
