HIDES AND CALFSKINS. ADVANCE IN PRICES. Newton Kins, Ltd., report a very satisfactory clearance of hides and calfskins at yesterday’s sale. Under keen corapetiiton. best calfskins sold from 15d to 17d per lb, or 7s to 8s 3d each; other grades accordingly. Hides advanced up to l%d, and sheepskins %d to %d per lb. This is /good news to the farming community and shows that these sales meet the requirements of the trade.
