FLYNN BEATS CANN. * By Telegraph y-Press Association. Dargavllle, August 14. The Northern Wairoa Boxing Association held a successful tournament on Saturday Right. The principal attraction was a 15round contest between Mike Flynn and Charlie Cann. The contest went the full number of rounds, and Flynn was declared the winner on points after the best and hardest fight seen here. The principal amateur bout between Trowern (Whangarei) and M'Carthy (Auckland) was won by the latter. THE ELTHAM ASSOCIATION. Writes Mr. G. B. Tayler, secretary of the Eitham Boxing Association: "I am instructed by my committee to draw your attention to an error which appeared in the report in your paper on Monday in regard to our recent tournament. The cups mentioned were presented to the association by Dr. H. A. Cooper and Mr. C. N. Taplin, both of Eitham, and not by the Wanganui medical 'fraternity."
