VISIT TO NEW PLYMOUTH, (By Wire—Parliamentary Reporter.) Wellington, Last Night. Mr. J. Caughey, M.A., Director of Education, has informed Mr. S. G. Smith, M.P., that he proposes to visit New Plymouth on Tuesday, August 22, for the purpose of discussing the proposals in connection with the junior high schools. On Tuesday he will address a meeting of members of the Education Board, the High School Board, the technical and school committee and the public. On' Wednesday morning he meets the Education Board, and a joint meeting of the Education and High School Boards, and afterwards he will confer with the High School Board on the question of the secondary school teachers’ grading scheme.
