ROUND THE WORLD PROPOSAL. By Telegraph.—Press Assn.—Copyright. London/Au gust 6. The machine in which Macintosh, Tymms and McCloughtry propose a world flight will be specially built. It will he a Fairly twin float seaplane with a 600 horse-power Rolls Royce engine. The route will be west to east, crossing America by the chain of big lakes. THE AERIAL DERBY. London. August 7. The Aerial Derby, a double circuit of outer London, a distance of over 200 miles, was won by J. H. Janies, flying a Mamel 450 horse-power, on which he won the 1921 Derby. The machine was entered by the Gloucestershire Aircraft Company. James completed the course in 66 minutes 483-5 see. R. A. Haig, flying a Bristol 400 h.p., was second, and Raynham, in a Martynside, third. A new and most powerful Bristol monoplane, which is being constructed amidst the utmost secreey, was not completed in time, and was unable to compete.
