GENERAL ELECTIONS.
BTBATFORD ELECTORATE. MR. J. B. HINE TO STAND. (From Our Own Correspondent.) Stratford, Last Night. Mr. J. B. Hine will again be a candidate in the Reform interests in the Stratford electorate at the forthcoming elections. At a largely attended and represenative meeting of delegates from all parts of the electorate yesterday it was unanimously decided to ask Mr. Hine to stand and the following deputation waited upon him: Messrs. G. Sangster (Stratford), F. Brown (Inglewood), N. Clelland (Tanora), W. Morrison (Ngaere), R. J. Bakewell (Waitui), ®. Walter (Douglas), E. Marfell (Toko), Blirk (Midhirst) and W. L. Kennedy (Tahora). After consideration Mr. Hine consented to stand, and attended the conference, thanking the delegates for their continued confidence.
LABOR CANDIDATES ANNOUNCED. By Telegraph.—Press Association. Wellington, August 8. For the general election, the official Labor candidates for the Wellington seats are:—North, Mr. H. E. Combs; South, Mr. R. A. McKeen; East, Mr. A. L. Monteith; Central, Mr. P. Fraser; Suburbs, Mr. A. Croskery.
