MANDATED TERRITORIES. By Telegraph —Press Assn.—Copyright. Geneva, August 2. The Mandates Commission of the League of Nation* considered the report of the Japanese Government on the administration of the Pacific Islands held by Japan under mandate. The commission specially called attention inter alia to questions concerning the labor regime, the regulation of liquor traffic, education, land tenure, and the fiscal system. It was arranged that certain points, on which the commission desires further elucidation, shall be dealt with more thoroughly in the next annual report. The discussion on the New Zealand mandate at Geneva has been postponed till Saturday at Sir James Alien’s request, owing to his inability to leave London before Friday.
