BUTTER AND CHEESE.
JULY RETURNS. By Telegraph.—Press Association. Wellington, August 5. The Daify Division of the Department of Agriculture states that the butter graded in July, 1922, was 11,904 cwt. r an increase of 193.20 per cent., compared with the corresponding month last year. The cheese graded was 2758 cwt., an increase of 19.39 per cent. The total butter graded for the 12 months ended July, 1922, was 1.010,956 cwt., an increase of 46.26 per cent. ; cheese graded was 1,275,796 cwt., an increase of 14.21 per cent. Converting these figures into their but-ter-fat equivalent, there is an increase of 23.57 per cent, in butter-fat production for the 12 months, compared with the corresponding period 1920-21.
