HUNTING.
POINT-TO-POINT MEETING. Subject to the permission of the Minister of Affairs, the North Taranaki Hunt Club propose to hold a point-to-point meeting at Messrs. Cole and Edwin’s properties, near the Motonui toll-gate, on Thursday next. Nominations for the club’s forthcoming steeplechase meeting on September 2 are ■ steadily coming in, and those who intend entering are reminded that nominations close with the secretary (Mr. E. L. Humphries, New Plymouth), on Friday next at 9 p.m. As a hunt was held at Mr. J. B. Mabin’s, at Oaaero, on Thursday no meet was held on Saturday.
