A CONTRACTOR’S CLAIM. By Telegraph.—Press Association Wellington, August 2. An action involving £7400 was brought by Clias. McDougall, a contractor, against the Blenheim Borough Council, The claim was based on allegations that defendant had committed breaches of his contract and finally had taken a. contract for the Blenheim waterworks out of his hands. The defence asserted that McDougall had not proceeded with due diligence, or carried out the work according to the terms of the contract. The case has not finished.
