ENTERTAINMENTS.

EVERYBODY’S. A play for young old. men, for old young men, and for girls of all ages is “When We Were Twenty One,” the Pat he Photoplay in which H. B. Warner starred to a big house at Everybody’s last night. Whether one has passed tne magic age of twenty-one when youth imagines it is proving its manhood by deeds of folly, or has that period before them “When We Were Twenty-one” will entertain. It is a story of wide appeal because of its fidelity to life and human frailities, its charming double love story, and its unselfishness and sacrifice. “When We Were Twenty-one” was one of Nat Goodwin’s greatest stage successes, first, played by him nineteen years ago, with Maxine Elliott, and the cast chosen to interpret the story on the screen is even as impressive. Claire Anderson is in Maxine Elliott’s role. Christine Mayo in Constance Collier’s and James Morrison in Arnold Daly’s. The final screening is announced for tonight. THE PEOPLE'S. HERBERT RAWLINSON IN “THE SCRAPPER.” “The Scrapper”—what a snappy sound has the title of Herbert Rawlinson’s latest Universal dramatic vehicle, which is screening to-night at the People’s. And. the story’s just as snappy as its title—a smashing yarn of a young Irishman right out of college who doesn’t feel there’s any need for worrying about anything so long as he has his brains and his two fists. The fist contest staged in the picture between the ‘.‘he-man” star and Fred Kohler, brute-sized screen heavy, is a classic in physical combat between two men who embody all the virile qualities of real outdoor sports. Gertrude Olmstead ha? the leading feminine role and her performance is graced with charm and loveliness. The supporting films are two-reel comedy, “Shipwrecked Among Animals,” and a news film. Tlhe prices are, D.C. Is 6d, stalls Is.
