DEATHS IN RIOTS.

THE HERRIN MASSACRES. AN ORGANISED CONSPIRACY. By Telegraph.—Press Assn.—Copyright. Received July 31. 8.15 p.m. New York, July 30. The Bitumenous Coal-operators’ Association has made public the report of the National Coal Association’s investigation of the Herrin massacres, which is declared to have been all an organised conspiracy. The report calls upon the Governor of Illinois to arrest the conspirators and assassins, and says the safety of every home in the country will be imperilied if such a crime goes unpunished. It appeals to American citizenship to force official cognizance of the infamous acts.—Aus.-N.Z. Cable Assn.
