WEATHER FORECAST.
By Telegraph.—-Press Association. Wellington. Last Night. The following official weather forecast was issued at 4 p.m. to-day: “Present indications are for easterly and south-easterly winds strong to gale northwards of Farewell . Spit and Kaikoura, and nnoderate to strong southerlies elsewhere. Weather cold, changeable and showery genefally, but strong conditions with heavy rain are probable in northern portions of the North Island. Tile barometer is failing in northern districts.”
