REBELS RETREATING. By Telegraph.—Press Assn.-—Copyright. London July 26. Dublin reports state that the Nationalists continue to drive the Irregulars in the west, practically unopposed. The rebels are retreating so rapidly in some districts that it is impossible for the Nationalists to keep pace with them. They are described as a- demoralised horde, tom by mutiny and dissensions. One leader, Revat, is reported to have been executed at Charlestown.
REBELS IN STRENGTH. PREPARING FOR BATTLE. Received July 27, 8.5 p.m. London, July 27. The Irish rebels are concentrating in strength under de Valera’s personal command, between Fermoy and Waterford, and are apparently preparing for a battle.
