FREEZING WORKS DISPUTE.
SLAUGHTERMEN FINED. By Telegraph.—Press Association Dunedin, July 25. Fourteen unionist slaughtermen and freezers of the Burnside works were fined £5 each. It was stated by the inspector that the men were misled by an orator who has since left the country. HASTINGS MEN RETURNING. Hastings, July 25. I The freezing workers decided to go to work at Whaka.tu to finish the season’s operations. They commenc’d this momdng and there is more work available tomorrow and sufficient labor offering.
