FIRE ON HOME LINER. By Telegraph.—Press Association. Napier, July 22. A fire was discovered in tne Home liner Arawa this morning on arrival here from Giaborne. The outbreak, which is not yet located, i<s in No. 3 lower hold, which is full of mutton and beef loaded at Gisborne and Auckland. The head office is expected to order the ship on to Wellington for discharge, as the meat in the hold is softening. The vessel was to load 33,000 freight carcases, 300 bales of wool, and 300 casks of tallow here. The outbreak is not considered serious. FURTHER CUT IN FLOUR. Dunedin, July 22. Canterbury millers having cut the price of flour £1 per ton. and there being no hope of the tariff war ceasing in Canterbury. the Dunedin mi’lprs reduced their price this morning by £2, making bakers’ sacks £l6 per ton.
