Wheat.—Cargoes are strong, and on American advices have advanced from 3d to 6d owing to better inquiry. The Belland’s cargo sold at 53s 9d. Steamer parcels are firm and have advanced mmilarly, the Medic's (on passage) making 53s 6d, and Liverpool sale 53e 6d on passage. Cotton.---Liverpool quotation for American middling upland, August delivery, is 12.93 d per lb. Rubber. —Fine hard para per pound; plantation, first latex crepe, 7 5-8 d; smoked ribbed sheet, 7 5-Bd. The copra market is steady. South Sea bagged July-September shipment, £24 10s per ton. Jute.—Native first marks, July-August shipment, on a quiet market, £35 5a per ton: new crop, August-September shipment, £37 10s. The New Zealand hemp market is steady; July-September shipment, £3l 10s per ton. Linseed oil, £44 10s per ton. equal to 3s 6Jd per gallon. Turpentine. 97s 3d per cwt., equal to 7s 4d per gallon. Mutton. —North Island, ordinary sfd, best 5 7-Bd. Lamb.—Australian, fair 9 5-Bd, inferior 9 3-Bd. Frozen Beef.—-New Zealand fores 3d, hinds 4Ad. Chilled beef.—Argentine fores 4d, hinds 7d; Uruguayan fores 3|d, hindt 6%d. Other meats unchanged. AUCKLAND ELECTRIC LOAN. Received July 23,. 5.5 p.m. London, July 22. The Auckland Electric Power Board loan has been underwritten. It is for £350,000 in 5J per cent, debentures at par.
