Kalkoura, left Liverpool June 2. Due at New Plymouth August 10. Waitemata, from Pacific Coast. August. Eastern SeaTfrom New York, end of August. PORT CHALMERS AT DAYBREAK. The C. and D. liner Port Chalmers (6534 tons) left Lyttelton at 9.45 p.m. on Wednesday for New Plymouth, where she is due at daybreak this morning in continuance of Homeward loading. CORINNA TAKING CHEESE’. The Corinna, due at 8 o’clock this morning from Nelson with about 1000 tons of general cargo from southern ports, will, after discharge, load 9000 crates of cheese for Homeward transhipment at Wellington to the Whangape.
THE RARAWA. The Rarawa, with passengers and general cargo from Onehunga, is due in port at 5.30 this morning, and sails on the return at 8.30 to-night. KAHTKA FOR WELLINGTON. The Kahika sailed early yesterday afternoon for Wellington, taking 11,000 crates of cheese for Homeward transhipment, by the Maimoa. KATOA TO-MORROW. The Katoa left Whangarei for New Plymouth at midday yesterday, and should arrive here to-morrow morning. If a berth is available it is hoped to unload the New Plymouth cargo of 400 tons of cement and despatch the vessel for Wellington later in the day. KAITUNA NEXT WEEK. The Union Company advise that the Kaituna, now at Pict on, is due at New Plymouth with Australian cargo on Monday or Tuesday next. WAITEMATA LOADING. The Waitemata arrived at Port Townsend (Vancouver) from Japan last Sunday. She ioads there and at San Francisco for New Zealand ports, including New Plymouth. YEARNING TO MARINERS.
The Collector of Customs at New Plymouth (Mr. R. B. D. Eyre) has received the following telegram from the Marine Department:— “Steamer Canberra reports seeing a floating mine on the morning of July 19 off Green Cape, north of Cape Howe, latitude 37.19 S, longitude 150 E.
