BUTTER AND CHEESE.
NEXT SEASON'S OUTPUTS. HOME BUYERS OPERATING. By Telegraph.—Press Association. Wellington, Last Night. Representatives of British provision distributing houses are now interviewing the directors of dairy companies with reference to next season’s output of boti butter and cheese. Up to the present nc straight-out offers to buy or sell whole outputs are reported, although a few odd parcels of butter have been bought up to the end of next month at round about 1/9 a pound, but no price appears to be available for shipments beyond that. No cheese has been bought for immediate future delivery or for next season. The interviews of the Home representatives are understood' to be confined to discussion of consignments only, the markets being considered still too high to discuss straight-put purchases. A laige number of North Island dairy companies will hold meetings of directors next month to specially consider the disposal of output and to decide on their policy to sell or consign.
