WAITARA v. ELTHAM. The Waitara Golf Club visited the Eltham links last* week-end and some enjoyable foursomes were played. To place the teams on an equal footing, the four leading men of the Eltham Club did not play. The matches proved the teams to be fairly equally matched, Eltham winning by 7 matches to 5. Results are as follows, Waitara players being mentioned first in each ease:— MORNING. Sampson and Hayhurst beat Dale and McDonald 2 and 1. Johns and Jaggs lost to Fallows and Gibson G and 5. Fuller and Hale beat Wylds and Belcher 5 and 4. Gane and George lost to Harrison and Anderson 6 and 5. Fuller and Pencarthy beat Taplln and Waters 2 and 1. Lock and Dunlop lost to Carter and Cropley 3 and 2. AFTERNOON. Sampson and Hayhum lost to Dale and McDonald 5 and 4. Johns and Jaggs lost to Fallows and Gibson 7 and 5. Fuller and Hall beat Wylds and Belcher 2 and 1. Gane and George lost to Harrison and Anderson 2 and 1. Fuller and Pencarthy lost to Taplln and Turner 2 and 1. Lock and Duhlop beat Carter and Cropley 5 and 4.
