In the Davis Cup Britain has scratched to Spain, as she is unable to a get a representative to go to America. Kingscote and Lycett are unable to make the journey for business reasons. Spain therefore meets the winner of the France-Australasia match in the United States.—Aus.-N.Z. Cable Assn.

The contest is now nearing its final Btages. It was recently suggested that France would scratch to Australasia, thus leaving Spain to meet Australasia in the final. When the final is decided the winning nation will meet the United States (the holders of the cup) in the challenge round.
