NEW PLYMOUTH CLUB. SATURDAY’S MATCH. The weather was perfect for the match against the ladies at the New Plymouth Club’s links on Saturday, and an enjoyable day’s golf was obtained. The men conceded 12 strokes and the ladies’ tees, and, although several games were very close, they were altogether too strong, winning every match except one. which finished “all square.” The results are : Miss Rundie and Miss Gavin lost to Mackay and Chong, 3 and 1. Mrs. Johns and Mrs. Nicholson lost to Johns and Butcher, 2 and 1. Miss Stanford and Miss Thomson lost to Robertshaw and Bewley, 3 and 2. Mrs. Wade and Mrs. Burke lost to Smith and Weston, 6 and 5. Mrs. Williaims and Miss Simpson squared with Elliott and Hasell. Miss Bremer and Miss Goldwater lost to Grey and Johnson, 4 and 3. Mrs. Gray and Mrs. Waters lost to Austin and Simpson. G and 5. Mrs. MeDiarmid and Miss Home lost to Smythe and Steeds. 1 (up. Mrs. Hill and Mrs. Perry lost to Broome and McQuade, 1 up. Miss Winfield and Mrs. W. C. Weston lost to Burgess and Thomson, 6 and 5. H. E. Andrews, with the remarkable score of G up. bad an easy win in the boges’ match, his nearest opponent being 2 down. He was out in 40 (bogey 41) and was 6 up at the turn, and maintained his position during the second half. The best cards handed in were:—
