HUNTING.

MEET AT TIKORANGI. Ideal weather conditions favored the meet of the North Taranaki Hunt Club at Mr. G. Foreman’s, Tikorangi, on Saturday. An enjoyble afternoon’s sport was obtained, hunting taking place over all the surrounding country. There were about 20 followers and a larger number of spectators. Hares were plentiful and several good runs resulted, but the hounds could not hold the scent. After the hunt, afternoon tea was provided, the master (Mr. A. H. Halcombe) returning thanks on behalf of the hunt dub. The hunt will meet again on Thursday afternoon at Mrs. Sampson’s, Sentry Kill. Final arrangements for Saturday’s hunt have not .yet been made t
