Received July 13, 11.10 p.m. Washington, July 12. General Pershing has issued a War Department order announcing the discontinuance of the manufacture of poison gas for the army and the filling oi projectiles with poison gas, in accordance with the spirit of the decisions reached at the Washington conference, except in such I'mited quantities as may be necessary for research woi k and the development of gas for defence appliances.—Aus.-N.Z.
