ELTHAM.

PLUNKET SOCIETY. (From Our Own Correspondent.) The monthly meeting of the Plunket Society was held on Tuesday and was attended by Mrs. G. W. Tayler (president), Mesdames Hawken, Hayden, Weir senr., Martin, Ware, Fountaine, Harrison, O’Hagan, Foord and Drayton. Apologies were received from Mesdames Weir junr., Palmer, Bridger and Northover. Several subscriptions were reported by the treasurer as being paid. The report of Nurse Dix for the month of June was as follows:—Cases on books 149, babies 139, new eases 10, mothers and babies to rooms 199, nurse’s visits to homes 42.
