London, July 10In the House of Commons, Mr. Stanley Baldwin promised to inquire into cases of wireless inefficiency suggested by a question by Mr. Murray Macdonald that at least five vessels were within range of the steamer Egypt when she sank, but missed the S.O.S. signals, and 19 others were not watching at the time of the disaster. Mr. Baldwin stated that 27 eases of alleged inefficiency had been r?ported since the adoption of the regulations regarding watches, but at present there was not a sufficient case to justify an amendment of the regulations.
