MAGISTRATE’S COURT. (From Our Own Correspondent) July 12. A sitting of the Magistrate’s Court was held here to-day before Mr. A. M. Mowlem, S.M. Ray Clare, for riding an unlighted bicycle at night, was fined £1 (costs 7s). John Fitzgerald, for leaving an unlighted motor lorry in the street at night was fined £1 (costs 7s). Judgment for plaintiff by default was given in the following cases: W. F. MeAllum v. Wm. O'Sullivan, £2 2s 7d (costs £1 12s* 6d); Henry Maine v. Wm. O’Sullivan, £2 10s (costs £1 12s 6d); Leonard J. Ngaia Kura. £1 la (costs 18s); Annie W. Hanson v. Stanley Simmons. £4 2s 6d (costs 15s); Evan H. Jones v. Wm. O'Sullivan, £6 4s (coats £1 19s 6d): Leonard J. Rattenbury v. Wm. Ngakawa Komere and Muramura Taituha. 10s 4d (costs £1 0s 6d): Charlea Dunbar v. Eric Beere. £3 5s 7d (costs £1 3s 6d). Tn the case of M. Campbell v. Samuel McDonald an order was made for the payment of the amount due (£7 18s fid), in default 7 days’ imprisonment, the warrant to be suspended so long as debtor pays 4s weekly in reduction of .the debt, payable monthly.
