NEW PLYMOUTH CLUB. DETAILS OF SATURDAY’S MATCH. On the New Plymouth Club’s links, on Saturday, 47 players entered for the medal match. Renner won the senior prize with a steady card uf 91—14—77, and Chong handed in the best gross score for the day with an evenly-played score of 83. Jackson, with 98 —22—76. and Quilliam, 100—22—78, were the best of the juniors. Both these players have shown improved form lately, and will now have their handicaps further reduced. The committee has decided that next ladies versus men, will be played four-ball, 20 players a side. The conditions are that the ladies receive 11 strokes handicap, being a stroke at every hole, except-, the (Six short ones, and the 11th, where their well forward. They will also play from their own tees (except on the 9th). NEW PLYMOUTH v. ELTHAM. New Plymouth is sending a team to Eitham on Thursday, to play the Eitham Club. Jt is proposed to leave about 10.30 and have lunch en route, arriving course shortly after one o’clock. Four-ball matches will be played. The following is the New Plymouth team: Chong, Johns, Bewley, A. Smith, Weston, G. Grey, Hasell, Austin, McQuade, Thomson, Smythe, Wilson, Hutchings, Etherlngton, Osborne, Andrews. Emergencies Grayling and Stephenson. Players unable to take part are requested to notify the hon. secretary not later than Wednesday.
