THE BASIC WAGE.
ENFORCEMENT IN AUSTRALIA. - By Telegraph.—Presg Asms.—Copyrignt. Sydney, July 7. It is stated the minimum wage is enforceable only for those working under the awards in 1920. Regulations have been gazetted compelling £4 5s to be paid to all adult employees. A reduction is now obtainable by employers making an application to the Arbitration which deals with unions, not individuals.
