STATE MINE TROUBLE.
OVER KNOCKING-OFF TIME. By Telegraph.—Press Association. Greymouth, Last Night. The deadlock over the knocking-off time continues at the State mines. The conference between the miners and the management proved ineffective, the former asking for 25 and the latter stipulating for 20 minutes’ walking-time. At the union meeting to-day. a two-to-one majority decided to stand by their demand. The miners have now been idle for a week.
