OGURT PROCEEDINGS FOIXOW. By Telegraph—Press Association. Wellington, July 7. Alexander Galbraith, who has been elected to contest the Napier seat ax the general election, appeared before Mr. F. K. Hunt. S.M., at the Magistrate's Court this morning in answer to a charge that on June 4 he did incite to violence in his address on “The Downfall of Capitalism,” at the Communist Hall. Mr. J. F. B. Stevenson, for accused, applied 20 an j»d*«<?’'nment to collect witnesses and study the speech. He said the case might have very serious consequences, as defendant had been selected to stand for the Napier seat, and it was necessary he should have a fair and just trial. The Crown did not oppose the adjournment, which was made until Monday afternoon.
