Miss Sybil Bauer, a 17-year-old Chi* cago girl, swimming in a 75 feet pool, broke four back-stroke world’s records—viz., 50 yards in 34 3-5 seconds, 200 yards in 171 4-5 seconds, 200 metres in 186 4-5 seconds, and 220 yards in 187 4-5 seconds. Miss Riggin, a New Yorker, set a new American free style record for 300 yards in 257 3-5 seconds.—Aus.-N.Z. Cable Assn.
