TECHNICAL COLLEGE.
MEETING OF THE BOARD. A meeting of the Advisory Board of the New Plymouth Technical College was held last night. Present: MessrsG. H. Dolby (chairman), J. S, Connett, E. H. Tribe, G. W- Reid, C. C. Center and the director (Mr. A. L. Moore). A letter was read from Mr. G- S. Scott resigning his seat on the board, as he was no longer a delegate to the Trade and Labor Council. The chairman remarked that it was a vety great pity that th 9 Advisory* Board should lose the services of Mr. Scott, and moved that his resignation be received with regret. Mr. Connett seconded the motion, which was carried. The secretary was in-, strueted to inform the secretary of the Trade and Labor Council of the vacancy. The director reported that there were 7 enrolments and 5 pupils left during the past month, making a roll total of 201. Mr- Connett asked whether the improved train service had benefited the school. The director replied that the pupils attending by train arrived earlier and it gave them nearly an hour extra in school. The organisation of the school yvas also much better on this account. Messrs. Broome and Center were appointed a visiting committee for the ensuing month.
