KAPONGA.

(From Our Own Correspondent.) One of Kaponga’s oldest and most respected settlers, Mr. D. Fitzgerald, who had been ailing for some time, passed away on Sunday morning. The sympathy of a wide circle of friends in South Taranaki will be extended to the widow and son. Mr. Fitzgerald lived to a ripe old age, and up to the time of his recent illness did not know what a day’s sickness meant.
